Here at the Cajun Report, we'll be covering all things University of Louisiana at Lafayette athletics. In addition, we'll also be covering local high school sports in and around the Lafayette area and the occasional LSU, New Orleans Saints (NFL) and New Orleans Pelicans (NBA) game.
As of the site's launch in December of 2019, we're a one-man show led by 27-year-old writer and photographer Ben Heck.

I'm relatively new to the area, moving to Lafayette in mid-December 2019. Orginally from Centreville, Maryland, I spent more than three years as a sportswriter, editor and photographer for three newspapers — the daily State News and two monthly papers — in the state of Delaware. I was hired in September of 2016 and served in the position until Dec. 18, 2019. The next day, Dec. 19, I was packed up and made the 18.5-hour drive to Louisiana.
